November 2004: Guadalupe Arts Center

In June of 2004 I attended a workshop at the Laloba Ranch Clay Center in Steamboat Springs, Colorado entitled Porcelain and soda: Throwing and hand building porcelain with emphasis on line, gesture, and the Utilization of slips conducted by Matt Long.

It was fantastic. (The staff, the accommodations, the facilities, the instruction, the country side, the students.) I made some of my espresso cups and we fired soda and salt kilns. Below are some images of Matt in demonstration.
